Client: Patterson Belknap

Patterson Belknap’s Tax-Exempt Organizations practice sought an online resource hub to address the unique legal and governance needs of those in the nonprofit sector. Given the vast amount of diverse information, how do we best organize a content-rich site with intuitive navigation that is also easy for the client to maintain?

With a timeline of only four months, we solidified the creative brief and promptly began the identity design. We then progressed to SEO research and sitemap/wireframe development to outline the site content and structure. Next, we provided several concepts for a dynamic, responsive microsite that includes a Knowledge Center, which houses a vast compilation of essential nonprofit law resources for tax-exempt organizations such as relevant publications, links to various government agencies and valuable firm presentation downloads. In addition to developing a news section, a new blog was also incorporated to highlight the latest regulatory updates, legal issues and trends facing contemporary nonprofits. We incorporated social media capabilities to allow users to easily share these valuable resources with others in the nonprofit sector.

Launch Party

The firm held a launch party for attorneys and clients. We projected the site on various displays throughout the venue to increase awareness and showcase the site. iPads were also placed strategically throughout the venue encouraging clients to follow the practice on Twitter. In turn, the practice also followed prospects to encourage dialogue and engagement.
