User experience and user interface are often misunderstood – they are connected, but also require distinct skill sets and processes. Miranda Rokes, Knox Design Strategy’s UX/UI Designer, has the rare combination of both, allowing her to serve legal and professional services clients as they expand their services while maintaining the integrity of their brands.

From a young age, Miranda knew design would be a part of her life. While pursuing her Industrial Design degree at Iowa State, she was drawn to the world of digital products and design. In opposition to her experiences with physical product design, the digital realm allowed Miranda more creative flexibility and freedom. As she developed design skills through coursework and freelancing, she learned to appreciate the short timeline and big impact of professionally executed user experiences.

After earning her Industrial Design degree, Miranda decided to follow her dream of living in New York City. Not one to wait around for opportunities to find her, she set off for the Big Apple while still completing her professional certificate in user experience design. After working as a freelance web and product designer, she joined Knox Design in 2023 as a UX/UI Designer.

At Knox Design Strategy, Miranda now serves both the team and our clients by connecting leading-edge user experience best practices with beautiful and functional user interfaces. Under the tutelage of our Sr. UX/UI Designer, she collaborates with the larger team to translate the client’s needs to final design solutions across websites, applications, intranets, and more. Her background in industrial design serves as a competitive advantage for Knox Design’s legal and professional services clients – she implements the full scope of great design in her work, from discovery and ideation to product delivery. In collaboration with the rest of the expert team, she’s able to provide clients with digital products that meet her core design philosophy: easy-to-use designs, beautifully executed.
