Designing Fictitious Propaganda Poster for a Moot Court Competition
Client: Shearman & Sterling | Law Firm
The event posters for the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition needed to elicit a gut reaction of sympathy and outrage in the audience for both Adova, the applicant, and Rotania, the respondent – both fictitious locations. In keeping with the nature of the case and our limited budget, we focused on the concept of a propaganda poster to support Samara Penza, a national of Adova and a freedom fighter. The posters were printed on newsprint to mimic how they might have looked had they been produced in reality.
