Client: Aluko & Oyebode

Aluko & Oyebode, one of the largest law firms in Nigeria, enlisted us for a rebrand. How to visually represent who the firm is today, while also reflecting on the firm’s African history and roots?

The new brand identity strikes a balance with the firm’s African heritage but does so with a modern approach that is clean and concise. Patterns found in Nigerian culture, and conceptually based on the Yoruba language, are used as a starting point and are reflected throughout the firm’s print collateral and website. The color palette was drawn from the firm’s vast art collection, also made available on the site through an online gallery.

We began with multiple planning and strategy calls to gain an understanding of the firm’s culture and work – with a thorough understanding of Nigerian law, the firm also has a deep breadth of international experience that needed to be captured. In addition to the new brand identity and website, we also provided pitch and proposal templates, brand guidelines and email newsletter templates.

In addition to a full stationery suite, we also collaborated with the firm on a redesign of their client presentations and new business pitch templates. An email newsletter template will serve the firm’s ongoing thought-leadership outreach needs.
