Founded in 2006, Wood Jackson is a boutique law firm that focuses on Intellectual Property and complex, commercial litigation primarily in the healthcare, technology and manufacturing industries.

The goal for the new brand, or design concept behind the logo, website, blog and stationery is to convey Wood Jackson’s unique style for serving their clients’ complex legal needs. That style can best be described as a partnership with their clients. The new logo is sophisticated and warm and reflects Wood Jackson’s, no-nonsense, pragmatic approach to resolving disputes.

“Our goal was to create a state of the art website that enhanced our communication with our clients as well as the business and legal communities.” explained Swain Wood. “The centerpiece for information about Wood Jackson, the website is the first place that business people often go to gain an understanding of what we do, who are our attorneys and whether we have experience needed to represent them.” The imagery and graphic elements are linked to the firm’s specialties in IP, technology, furniture design and healthcare. The attorney bios incorporate personal elements such as the interests of attorneys, their own photographs and Instagram feeds. The website is also accessible on mobile devices and tablets through responsive design.

“Our blog, inSites, provides us with a vehicle to quickly and regularly disseminate important information and engage the business community. In addition to Wood Jackson’s perspective on legal decisions and new regulations, we will also curate news articles and postings from on topics related to intellectual property and litigation,” explains Christopher Jackson.

Wood Jackson selected Knox Design Strategy, a New York design firm owned by North Carolina native, Brandie Knox to help them to create their new brand and website. Brandie, a former Assistant Professor of Design at East Carolina University, migrated to New York in 2002 to establish a career in brand identity, corporate communications and digital strategy.
