Providing an Online Resource Center for the Healthcare Industry

McDermottPlus Consulting, a leading healthcare consultancy, retained us to help redesign their website. The primary goals of the project were to increase the site’s visual impact and to improve overall accessibility to the firm’s trove of valuable resources and insights. How to organize the firm’s vast collection of content and ensure an optimal user experience?
We began with a deep dive into the firm’s content and resource library, which had previously only been accessible as PDFs on the old website. Integrating the resources directly into the redesigned site would accomplish the dual goal of enhancing the user experience and greatly enhancing SEO performance.
We then developed high-fidelity wireframes that we used to build consensus on content and page structure, prior to moving into the creative design phase.
Next, we developed several concepts for a dynamic, responsive website that included three Resource Centers and Insights – a vast collection of material that is fully searchable and provides a variety of filtering methods to ensure easy access.
In addition to the significant functional upgrades and thoughtful content reorganization, the new content management system makes the site easy to update and manage.
That’s a brief explanation of our strategic design process in action. The client came to us looking for a new website. We delivered that and something more – a powerful platform for educating and informing the healthcare industry, which supports the ongoing development of the client’s consulting practice.
A single landing page aggregates all available resources by date, further filterable by resource center, category and tag. A section-specific search provides the ability to search directly within each of the resource centers.
Additional filtering options provides users with alternative methods for searching the content.
